Murali Mohan Mandir

Murali Mohan Mandir is yet another ancient Hindu temple in Bishnupur (WB), built by the Mallabhum dynasty.
Murali Mohan Mandir is dedicated to Lord Krishna and it was built by queen Shiromani Devi, the wife of Bir Singha Dev (1656-1682).
Murali Mohan is a south-facing Ek-Ratna temple built with laterite. This is one of the seven Ek-Ratna temples located in the temple town of Bishnupur. It is square on plan and the sanctum is surmounted by a sikhara instead of an arched cover. The temple has a pillared corridor on all four sides. Open pathway temples are rather uncommon in Bengali temples.
