Like the previous several years, Hindu persecution in Bangladesh continues in 2023 also. The level of inhuman atrocities has crossed all the limits of tolerance of the Hindu community. Murder, attacks on Hindu religious institutions, land grabbing, forcefully conversion had became a general incident against the Hindu community in Bangladesh. The persecution against the Hindu community continues there resulting a sharp decrease of Hindu population.
In September 2023, murders, assaults and other targeted attacks on Hindus dominated the headlines. With the Durga Puja coming up in October, vandalism and desecration of Durga murtis were reported from multiple places. In addition to this, there were multiple cases of attacks on Hindu women.
