The Dal Madal Kaman is one of the largest-bored(3.8 meters long) cannons ever made. Built by the 49th Mallabhum king Hambir Malla Dev, (also known as Bir Hambir, Beera Hambeera and Veer Hambir 1565-1620 CE), Dal Madal literally means “destruction of enemy”. The cannon was built by a skilled artisan named Jagannath Karmakar and it is one of thr historic relics of Bishnupur.
