In 2025, Hindus in Bangladesh faced attacks and cruelty again, just like in the past several years. These inhuman acts went far beyond what the Hindu community could accept. Killing people, attacks on temples and other religious places, grabbing land, and forcing Hindus to convert became common events. (BD Hindu Persecution 2025)
Because of this ongoing harassment, the number of Hindus in Bangladesh is falling quickly.
After the big uprising in August 2024, attacks on Hindus continued in 2025.
There were many more attacks on Hindu temples and shrines. People destroyed and disrespected the idols of Hindu gods and goddesses more than before.
The government also targeted Hindus for allegedly insulting the state religion.
On top of this, there were many attacks on Hindu women.
